Happy Birthday Emma Rose

So this week I have definitely been a little nostalgic! And it is so hard to wrap my brain around what to write for a one year post because I feel as though I have so much to share about my girl but don't want to get all mushy gushy (I'll try to land somewhere in between :) ) So here we go - On Wednesday, I kept thinking a year ago today I was in labor and then the morning of Emma's birthday I was so weepy! I can't believe she is 1! Bobby and I have learned so much about ourselves and each other and about Emma! We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with her - she one awesome little girl and we can't wait to see what she will become. Our biggest prayer for Emma is that she grow up to love the Lord with all her heart, with all her mind, and with all her soul - anything else after that will be great!
The other thing I am so proud about is that I nursed Emma for one full year! We had a really rough start but my goal was to nurse her for a full year and we did it! It felt impossible at times, especially with working full time and having to pump but we did it. I know that I could not have done this without the loving support of Bobby - he was my cheerleader when I was so frustrated (especially in the beginning!) but he loved and encouraged me the whole way through it!

Here we are ago - one year ago right after she was born

Here we are a year later - celebraing at BJs!

The celebration started on Emma's birthday where we went out to dinner with Grandma Kim, Uncle Matt, Uncle Russell, Grandma Hank, and Papa Tim. We all went to BJ's and boy was it yuuummmyyyy!!!!
Opening her present from Grandma Kim!

Emma is absolutely smitten with her Uncle Matt - she lights up whenever he comes into the room!

Our little family! :)

We also had some one year pictures taken of Emma to commeorate the moment - there are so many cute ones but here are a few of my favorites that were taken by Bee Zion Photography:

And then to finish the birthday celebrations we are having her ladybug birthday party today! The cake/cupcakes are baked, the decor is just about finished, the food is almost cooked, and now all there is left to do is CELEBRATE!!!!
